Ossiam was co-founded by four partners, including Bruno Poulin (CEO) and Tristan Perret (Co-CIO), in 2009 with the aim of providing investors with rule-based investment strategies that capture investment factors and exploit market inefficiencies. These strategies are available in transparent and liquid investment vehicles, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), dedicated funds or mandates.
Since its founding, the company has grown to over 35 professionals and launched a range of innovative solutions for a wide range of asset classes. Investors are primarily wholesale and institutional, including fund of fund managers, private banks, family offices, insurers, and pension funds.
Ossiam’s quantitative research and investment team consists of finance professionals with strong academic backgrounds in quantitative finance who work as a portfolio management unit. This research is supported by a scientific council of external academics who specialise in quantitative finance and economics. The council members challenge the Ossiam portfolio management to produce the strongest concepts for client investment solutions.
Environmental, social, governance (ESG) investment has been a growing part of Ossiam’s offering. Ossiam has been a signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment since 2016 and in early 2020, four of Ossiam’s ESG funds were awarded the SRI label of the French financial regulator, l’Association Française de la Gestion financière (AFG). Ossiam’s ESG investment strategies utilise data in a manner that is consistent with its core specialisation of quantitative and sustainable investment solutions.
The investment company is regulated by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) of France. Ossiam’s ETFs are listed on major stock exchanges, which include Borsa Italiana, Deutsche Börse, the London Stock Exchange, Euronext Paris and Bolsa Mexicana.
