Luc van Laarhoven holds a Finance Degree from the Amsterdam Academy for Banking and Finance (Vrije Universiteit and HH in Amsterdam). Luc is a Dutch national and has been living in Luxembourg since 1998. 

During his successful international banking career, of more than 20 years, he also served as a board member and president of LFMA, the Luxembourg Financial Markets Association. In 2015 he ended his banking career to become an independent financial and strategic advisor. As an independent advisor, he fulfilled several assignments of which 2 years as Subject Matter Expert for Deloitte Risk Advisory NV in the Netherlands.

In the beginning of 2020, he teamed up with the Dutch FinTech entrepreneur, Lex Gielen, to cofound the mortgage-backed lending platform, Capilex SA.
